In typical French cuisine an entrée is the dish which is served right before you’re served the main course. If you watch Masterchef then you probably take all courses of your meal seriously and demand perfection in everything food related. You want to be served everything from the entrée to the dessert with sheer perfection and with the right pause between every meal. Food connoisseurs want their wedding to be a unique multi-course feast instead of serving the regulars to their guests. There is something so refined and sophisticated about suited servers bringing delicacies covered by cloches to the room and laying them before everyone.
Let’s admit the obvious and widely acknowledged fact that we all love entrée’ and desserts! They’re the first part of a meal to be served to us and act as a harbinger of what we should expect from the rest of the courses. Therefore, the entrée has to be spot on and absolutely delicious! There’s nothing more soothing than a cup of warm soup with some prawn on toast on a chilly winter wedding!
