Ladies we know that autumn can be a difficult time for our hair and skin. And if you’re getting hitched soon then we completely know what you’re going through and we can relate! We know that you’re struggling to keep your skin fresh and moisturized. Maintaining a healthy glowing skin can be quite tricky. Even though we get a welcome break from the extra oiliness we face in the summer, the dryness that ensues is simply unbearable! The arid autumn air tends to give you dry flaky skin. But there’s little reason to worry because with constant care and the right kind of skincare routine your skin’s former smooth texture and softness will be restored!
Olive oil is a great remedy for dry skin too because it cleanses your skin without stripping it of its natural oils. Rub some on your face and then cover it with a warm damp towel till the towel cools down. Then remove the excess oil. You can also whip up a DIY olive oil and sugar skin scrub. Mix two tablespoons of olive oil and half a cup of sugar and use this every other day.

Mix two tablespoons of honey with half a teaspoon of cinnamon powder and apply this mixture to your face with a soft brush. Gently massage it off your face after 15 minutes. Take special care to not use it if your skin is susceptible to cinnamon induced skin rashes.

Coconut oil is another essential oil that helps with dry skin. Apply it to your skin before sleeping to lock in moisture and keep your skin soft and smooth.

Glycerin helps lock moisture in your skin which is why you should make it a habit to apply it to the dry patches on your skin at least once every day during the winter months.

Mix 1-2 tablespoons of almond powder and 2-3 tablespoons of milk. Apply it to the dry skin patches on your skin and wash it off later.

Lemon and honey as well as lemon and milk masks are great for damaged autumn skin. Lemon possesses antioxidizing properties whereas, honey is a great skin moisturizer. Mix 2 tablespoons of honey in 6 tablespoons of milk and apply this mixture to your skin. Similarly, extract the juice from half a lemon and mix some honey in it. Wash your face after 15-20 minutes. Apply this to your face at least 4 times a week.
