1. Use Tea Tree Oil

 

Tea tree oil is extremely effective against dandruff. Therefore, if you don’t feel like replacing your favorite shampoo with a tea tree oil based one, then simply use a few drops of tea tree oil in the shampoo that you already use. It is known to reduce dandruff by 41% and it doesn’t get any better than this peeps! You can also dilute it with some other oil such as coconut oil and then massage your scalp with it!

2. Time To Grow Aloe Vera Plants In Your Backyard!

 

Aloe Vera is extensively used in many skin and hair products because of its guaranteed effects on them. Even dermatologists recommend using aloe vera pulp on skin in case it gets sun burnt or you get a rash or skin inflammation. It even helps fight psoriasis and cold sores. Its antibacterial and antifungal properties make it effective against dandruff. Apply some aloe vera gel to your scalp right before you shower to soothe your scalp.

3. Use An Alcohol Based Mouthwash

 

Wash your hair with shampoo them rinse it with mouthwash. The reason why it works is because it has anti-fungal properties that prevent dandruff causing yeast from growing in your head.

4. Did Someone Say Aspirin?

 

Just like other medicated anti-dandruff shampoos, aspirin too has salicylic acid. Crush two aspirins and mix them with some shampoo. Apply this mixture to your hair and scalp for a few minutes then rinse with water. You can shampoo in a regular manner later.

5. Apple Cider Vinegar

 

Apple cider vinegar is acidic in nature which means that it balances out the pH of the scalp and hence reduces the growth of fungus and even fight dandruff. You can mix it with some essential oils and spray it directly on your hair and even combine it with your shampoo.

6. Use Some Baking Soda

 

Baking soda is also extremely effective when it comes to fungal infections, psoriasis and even dandruff. Therefore, it is recommended that you apply some baking soda to your wet scalp while showering. Shampoo your hair after a few minutes to rinse off the baking soda.

7. Lemon Juice

 

It is completely safe to use lemon juice to your scalp directly. Therefore, you should consider doing that. You can mix it with sugar and coconut oil and then use it on your scalp too.
