The fashion whirlwind of Pantene HUM Showcase Day 3 ended on a high note. In essence, it was a glamorous, high profile event and a lot of beloved faces from the television and the film industry graced the red carpet with their appearance. Celebrities like Faryal Mehmood, Asim Azhar, Sarah Khan and Feroze Khan; walked the ramp. Moreover, the team of Chhalawa made a cheerful appearance to promote their movie, and walked the ramp for designer Munib Nawaz. Here are our few favorite looks from the star-studded night:

Rizwan Beyg’s collection ‘Pearlessence’ immediately won over the audience, leaving them wanting for more. In simple words, it was an ode to the pearl and ivory tones. The embellishments and finer threadwork details of the pearls and sequins were an epitome of the masterful craft of the rural women of Pakistan. The silhouettes were comfortable with a trendy twist; unconventional separates were joined to give an eye-pleasing effect. Overall, it was aesthetically an exquisite collection and a real treat to the eyes. All we can say is Beyg – the maestro he is, surely did justice to the collection’s name!
Warda Saleem’s ‘Jhirki’ was a colorful feast on the label’s fascination with the block prints. The rainbow of shades included everything from subtle grays to neon pinks and yellows. Likewise, the motifs and patterns were wide ranged; including geometrical patterns, sparrows, horses and paisleys. It was a festive, crafty collection that matched the subcontinent landscape perfectly.
Munib Nawaz’ collection ‘Dash’, which consisted of printed jackets, floral separates, jackets, and blazers with mishmash layers gave an electrifying feeling to the audience. Plaids seemed to be the core inspiration and the designer juggled them well. Team Chhalawa were the showstoppers. Reel-to-real life celebrity couple Zara Noor Abbas and Asad Siddiqui looked too cute to be true walking hand in hand on the ramp. Munib designed a special tee for Mehwish Hayat with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on it – after all, there’s a reason why Taylor Swift said, ‘Haters gonna hate, hate, hate…’
Natasha Kamal always wins us over with her ‘I’m a pretty little girls’ clothes, only in this scenario the ‘little girls’ are not so little! The collection she showcased ‘Lilium’ was inspired by the watercolors of Georgia O’Keefe. Her interpretation of the artistic works in gorgeous prints (with magenta as the dominant color) was as beautiful as can be expected. In short, Kamal put up a pleasingly pleasant show to witness!
Khaadi Khas presented their collection Gypsy and it was inspired by Spanish flamenco dancers. It was a celebration of colors, which turned the ramp into a lively cultural experience! The festive whorls of colors and layers, woven into uplifting embroidered shirts, waistcoats, capes and tunics left the audience including the team at Bridals.pk speechless!
Jazib Qamar’s line was a literal interpretation of his collection title, which was called Kashmakash. From checkered prints to frills, flowy to structured silhouettes all dominated the ramp and you know what else dominated the ramp…BUGS!!! Yes, his unconventional motifs also left mixed reviews among the audience. The color palette was a contrast of hot pink, black and shiny gold. Overall, it was a great effort!
Last but not least was the fantastic designer duo – Sana Safinaz. The collection ‘Dynasty’ was packing a punch of street style inspired glamour! We at Bridals.pk simply loved the incorporation of the neon and jewel tones, with western silhouettes including tunics, elaborated sleeves to the 3-D effect given to the fabric! All we can say to the team Sana Safinaz is ‘hands down’ for putting up such a fabulous show!
Finally, the third day of the Pantene HUM Showcase started and ended with a fashion-savvy bang. And we couldn’t be more pleased with the efforts of couture designers, who are redefining fashion in Pakistan.
