During wedding planning process, one of the most important and equally challenging decision is to hire a caterer. It becomes even more important when you have to select one from a location very little known to you. One wrong decision can even have disastrous consequences which will make your whole planning go in vain. Food is one such aspect that makes your guests excited, especially if it’s about tasting new cuisine in a different location. 1. What menu options do you offer?
2. Do you use fresh meat, vegetables etc.?
3. What type of food is your specialty in both, vegetarian and non-vegetarian?
4. What are the menu options that will fit my budget? Do you have any recommended menu packages?
5. What is included in the price? Most caterers charge per head and that includes food and basic drinks.
6. Do you specialize in anything that is a specific to this destination?
7. Do you offer menu tastings? Can I select what you have on the menu tasting?
8. Can you cater to vegetarian, gluten free or any other special needs?
9. Can I customize some of the food on the menu with my own recipes?
10. Do you provide a wedding cake? If so, would you like to box the cake for guests to take home? or box the top-tier for freezing?
11. Is there any minimum or maximum number of people that you serve?
12. Do you have any photos of how food was arranged at another wedding?
13. How do you handle leftovers? Will they pack them so you can distribute among your guests?
14. Is it easy for caterer to reach the venue?
You can even ask these questions to multiple caterers, compare their price range and services and then make a final decision.
