Bridal showers are getting more and more popular in Pakistan. And we absolutely love this fun trend! However, we still feel that people are making it all about the dresses, selfies and obviously the cake itself! We believe that girls need to focus on having some actual fun at the shower too. If you are to host a bridal shower in the near future, we’d like you to make it into an entertaining, memorable evening for your special friend and not just make it all about the photo booth (maybe a little). And in order to do that, we suggest that you introduce some fun-filled bridal shower games to the party and make sure that everyone has a blast! Bridal shower games are a great way to ensure that your party will be remembered by girls for decades to come!

In this game, you can write a few real life scenarios and facts about the engaged couple on a bunch of flash cards. The bride will ask them and confirm the answers. You can ask things like who said “I love you first? Who is more forgetful in the couple? Who wears the pants in the relationship?”
If you are hosting a lot of people who aren’t familiar with each other, you need to help break the ice between them. A fun way to do that would be to jot down amazing and fun facts about the guests and put them in a jar. Then each guest will pick up a chit and guess who the fun fact is about. You can write things like ‘which guest lives in Islamabad?’, or ‘which guest is a gold medalist?’ or even ‘find someone who’s been married for a decade’ and many more interesting questions!
This is a game where you put the groom’s picture along few random pictures in balloons before blowing them up. Now near the end of the party, ask your girls to pop the balloons. The girl who finds the picture of groom wins a prize.
Make a large print out of the bride-to-be, or any bride in a large wedding gown. Have your friends blindfolded and spin her thrice. Hand the stick pin attached to a lacy bow to her and have her walk upto the picture. The goal is to pin the bow on the head of the picture. The closest one wins.

All the guests invited can write anonymous advice for the newlyweds to read later. They can add one naughty and one nice advice that will help nourish and grow their relationship down the road. If you feel as if you aren’t the kind of person to offer unsolicited advice, you can just write down some words of love, support and encouragement.
You can have one of your friend write a small wedding toast. Now this friend will whisper the toast to the girl sitting next to her and she will repeat it to the person sitting next to her, until it circulates the whole room. Now have the last person say it out loud and compare it to the original speech. It’s bound to be messed up and it will be funniest if you have a large crowd.
Make a list of standard items that could be found in a woman’s purse. Add a few wacky things that can possibly be found in purses as well. Like lip-gloss, aspirin, sanitary pad etc. The person with a bag that has the most things wins a small prize.
This is like Charades but with wedding movies only. You will have to come up with famous wedding movie titles and have the guests act it out in let’s say three minutes. Some of our favorite wedding movies are Hum Aapke Hain Kon, Veere Di Wedding, Band, Baja, Baraat, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, The Bridesmaids, Load Wedding, Punjab Nahi Jaungi and the list just never ends!!!
It’s not a game per se, but it’s an activity that will make the bride really happy. All the invited guests would be provided with microphones and they will share their favorite memory of the bride and groom. This would be a chance for the bride to gather some good thoughts and cherished memories that she can take with her to this huge phase of her life.
The attendees can write down their favorite romantic movie quotes or poetic verses that they feel associate with the bride. She can keep these for herself. If your bride is a reader or a movie buff, she’d be sure to love this gift of words that sprung from a place of love.

We are desi and that means we have a lot of whacky and nonsensical wedding norms that make no sense. You can get your guests to give out funny explanations for traditions that they find most nonsensical. Like, “why we hide the groom’s shoes? Why is doodhpilai a wedding ritual? Why is a ride supposed to stay isolated after her mayoun?”
This has to be the most exciting game in this time and age. You will make a list of things that can be found on a phone. One of the best tings about this game is that the bride can be a part of it too! Each guest will get points for every list item they have on their phone and the person with the most points wins.
