Children have free spirits. Whenever they go to a new place, they tend to explore it, without looking back. So, one of the most stressful thing for guests when they come to attend a wedding is handling their children. Their attention is divided between making sure their child does not go too far away or outside the venue and meeting and catching up with all the other guests. So, how do you make sure that doesn’t happen at your wedding? Get a little creative and help your guests to have the time of their lives at your wedding. Here are some ideas you can carry out:
Set up a kid’s table and place lots of crayons on each seat. This will give them a chance to sit down and draw with concentration while their parents mix up with other guests. You cannot necessarily cover the table with a fancy cloth or spread, instead go for newspapers or a plain brown paper to do the work so you won’t even need to buy extra papers. The kids can draw right on top of the table!
Print some wonderful themed placemats that has multiple games on it like connecting the dots, a maze, crossword puzzle, a drawing to fill with colors, tic tac toe, find the word, to name few. These will definitely keep them busy with each other and focused on the different games.
This could be similar to the placemat but can have a lot more game in it. All the easier to keep the kids busy and in one place.
Hire a caretaker for the night who will supervise the kids and make sure they are having fun. The parents will also relax and you will be their hero for decades to come!
Place different levels of jigsaw puzzles at the kid’s table and they will solve each level turn by turn. The caretaker can supervise here as well and keep the kids organized.
Nothing better than kids jumping on a bouncing castle. Place a well-sized bounce in a corner for an outdoor wedding and you won’t even have to hire a separate supervisor to keep them organized. Everyone will know where their kids are!
Who doesn’t love chocolate chip cookies! Get a server to distribute them to the kids while they are drawing or doing puzzles. This way they won’t come running to their parents when they’re hungry and there is time in lunch/dinner yet.
These are some brilliant ideas that needs to be followed in order to have a stressful wedding for guests with children. Everyone will be able to enjoy and entertain without worrying about any of their kids. These don’t require a load of money; just an innovative idea and a creative plan to carry it out. Happy Wedding!
