How much experience do you have planning the destination weddings?
Ideally, your wedding planner should have spent at least five years in this business.
Are you familiar with the destination? Have you worked on the chosen destination before?
This is the most important point of consideration because you would not take a risk of relying on someone who does not know the destination well or has not worked there before.
Are you available on your wedding date?
You need to keep a backup plan; in case your chosen wedding planner is not available on fixed dates.
Do you plan destination weddings alone or have a team to work with you? Who from your side will be at the wedding?
The person you have remained in contact with should be the one at your wedding day. It becomes difficult if you have to deal with a different person.
How much do you charge?
Apart from the skills of your wedding planner, you need to consider their service charges as well. Ideally, you should consider more than one planner and compare their rates. Select the one which is more inclined to your budget.
Can I see your portfolio?
Your wedding planner should share their work to let you know their style of work and expertise.
What is not included in your services?
Although destination wedding planners take responsibility for all the aspects, there may be few areas which they don’t deal with. Mostly wedding planners deal with:
• Accommodation for wedding guests and for the bridal party
• Pan your honeymoon
• Help wedding guests with their airfare and find packages
• Help you with your wedding requirements at the destination
• Work with other vendors
