April 15, 2017
You spend thousands on make up for your bridal makeup, and what happens? Your oily skin cannot cope with it and decides to bring out all the oil from the pores, absolutely ruining the makeup! You don’t want that sight to take over your wedding day. Following are some tips for preventing that disaster:
Wash your face as much as you can
Wash it when you wake up, and wash it before going to bed; get that water on your face to freshen up the pores. Washing too much can also strip off the natural moisturizers and increase oil production, so keep it balanced!
Use a gentle cleanser
Specifically look for cleansers with ingredients made for oily skin. If you are experimenting with cleansers at the moment, note down which one suits your skin and which ones don’t. be careful to not scrub your face as this can stimulate oil. Keep a track of your cleansers so you can stay careful before the big day!
Tone your oily areas
Be careful to use toners in areas that are oily, like your nose, or your forehead. using toners on dry or normal areas can create dry patches on the skin.
Use medicated pad
Medicated pads or blotting papers the advantage of being portable and also allow you to freshen up the face no matter where you are. So keep them in your bag with you for instant removal of excess oil.
Moisturizing is the way
Choose the right moisturizer to perfectly moisturize your oily skin. Go for oil-free or water based moisturizers and keep your hands away from heavy moisturizers and creams!
Make note of this and tell this to your makeup artist. Choose either gel foundation, powder or liquid bases. Make sure that the liquid base is not oil-based but water-based and you’re ready to set the stage on fire!
Having an oily skin means you will age slower than the rest, so just take care of this beauty and you are good to go for the big day!
